Your Praise is Tied to Your Harvest!

July 22nd, 2009

The bible says, “May the peoples praise you, O God; may all the peoples praise you. Then the land will yield its harvest, and God, our God, will bless us. God will bless us, and all the ends of the earth will fear him,”Psalm 67: 5-7.

When you praise God, your land will yield increase. This means everything around you will begin to flourish and bear fruit to the glory of God. Praise is like dew; it waters your life and makes you abundantly fruitful.

The sacrifice of praise opens up the door for God to come in and fight on your behalf.

The bibles say, “He who sacrifices thanks offerings honors me, and he prepares the way so that I may show him the salvation of God” Psalm 50:23.

As Christians, we are supposed to praise God at all times, but sometimes, the strain of circumstances causes us not to feel like praising. Problems like miscarriage, delayed menstrual cycle; male or female infertility, ovulation problems, financial and marital issues may make us not want to praise God.

But we do not have to live by our feelings! God expects our praises, in spite of our problems. When our negative emotions rule over our spirits and we are frustrated, we may think that no one understands how we feel.

Well I have got good news for you! God understands; that’s why praise is called a sacrifice (Hebrews 13:15). Praising God in difficult times becomes a sacrifice and with such sacrifice God is well pleased. God is saying to you today your thanksgiving is “a way maker” If you want God to come and fight for you, you need to begin now to thank and praise Him for the answer.

When you praise God, you are expressing your faith in Him. You are telling Him, “Lord my case is too small for you to handle. You are dependable and reliable! I am not offended in you, I trust you Lord”. “You are not responsible for my situation; you are my savior from my problems”. “Lord you are my helper and my Lord!”

How did Abraham get his miracle child Isaac? The Bible says: “he did not waver through unbelief regarding the promise of God, but was strengthened in his faith and gave glory to God, being fully persuaded that God had power to do what he had promised”.Romans 4:20-21. What about you? Are you fully persuaded that God can meet all your need? If yes then begin now.

Start giving glory to God, instead of looking grief-stricken and broken-hearted; put a smile on your face. Unhappiness and misery creates a habitation for your enemy so let singing and rejoicing replace the depression in your home.

Psalm 22:3, says, “God inhabits the praises of his people.” This means as you praise him, he will come down to live in your home. An atmosphere of praise attracts God’s presence and commands His blessings and establishes fruitfulness upon the person praising Him. Praise is an invitation that God cannot resist.

When you are singing and praising the Lord this makes the enemy really mad. When next the enemy tries to make you sad and down cast, get out your dancing shoes and give God a “dance offering” Let the Lord know that you appreciate Him and that you are fully persuaded that what He has promised you, He is able also to perform.

When you do that, all the worry and anxiety in your home will give way and the joy of the Lord will fill your life. The bible says, “At midnight I rise to give you thanks for your righteous laws”. Psalm 119:62

In your midnight hour, when it looks as if you are battered and beaten and defeated and every one has forsaken you, rise up and give God praise. He will raise you up from the pit of infertility and miscarriage and trouble and give you a new testimony of fruitfulness that the entire world can see.

When you are tempted to murmur and complain quickly switch to praise and worship, and watch God step into your life. The bible says, In Isaiah 54:1, “Sing, O barren woman, you who never bore a child; burst into song, shout for joy, you who were never in labour; because more are the children of the desolate woman than of her who has a husband,” says the LORD.

Are you ready to take a step of faith to prepare God’s hand to move in your situation during your time of trial and temptation? God wants to bring you to such a position of strength that even in the greatest trials and testing’s you face-when it seems everything is falling apart and your problems seem insurmountable-you will be able to look the enemy in the face and offer up a sacrifice of praise to God knowing He will deliver you. Praise the Lord!

Prayer: Please open your mouth and Praise God!

Praise be to the LORD my Rock, who trains my hands for war, my fingers for battle. He is my loving God and my fortress, my stronghold and my deliverer, my shield, in whom I take refuge, who subdues peoples under me. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.

My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place. When I was woven together in the depths of the earth, your eyes saw my unformed body. All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.

How precious to me are your thoughts, O God! How vast is the sum of them! Were I to count them, they would outnumber the grains of sand. When I awake, I am still with you.

I will exalt you, my God the King; I will praise your name for ever and ever. Every day I will praise you and extol your name for ever and ever. You have done everything for me. I praise you. All my troubles are washed away in the blood of Jesus and am set free to praise you. Great is the LORD and most worthy of praise; his greatness no one can fathom. Praise the Lord. Amen!

A Special Prayer For Someone That Has Experienced a Recent Loss

July 16th, 2009

You may have recently lost a child through miscarriage, or lost a job or even your marriage to divorce. I want you to know that the word of God has comforting promises for you during these times of your life.

At some point in time, every human being will experience sadness as a result of a loss or disappointment, no one is exempt from trouble. You may have recently lost a child through miscarriage, or lost a job or even your marriage to divorce.

I want you to know that the word of God has comforting promises for you during these times in your life. The bible says “The LORD is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit” Psalm 34:18

No matter what you have lost I want to encourage you to take heart and trust in the Lord as the bible says in 2 Corinthians 1:3-4 “Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God”. Please allow God to heal your wounds and comfort you today with this simple prayer.

Please always open your mouth and pray loud and and clear. The creative power of God’s word works as we speak out in faith.

Prayer
Heavenly Father, thank you for being near to me during my time of loss. Truly, I am heart- broken, and my spirit is contrite. As I pour out my heart to you over the loss of (mention what you Lost) I realize that you are my only place of safety. You alone are my refuge and strength.

I thank you for your word that promises me in Deuteronomy 33:27 that, the eternal God is my refuge, and underneath me are His everlasting arms. Thank you Father, for your promise to heal the broken hearted and to bind up those who are wounded. I claim this promise, and I now receive your healing for the sorrow, loss and grief I feel. I experience your love and compassion now as I pray.

Thank you for Jesus who is a man of sorrows and is well-acquainted with grief. I believe He has the power to turn my sorrow into joy, and I ask for that to happen in my life. My heart begins to rejoice, Father, when I realize that Jesus has truly overcome the world.

Though the mountains be shaken and the hills be removed, I know your unfailing love for me will not be shaken nor your covenant of peace be removed from me because you have compassion on me.

Help me to really believe that all things are working together for good in my life, because you have called me. I know Lord that the sorrows of loss I am facing during this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory you are going to reveal to me.

Thank you for the comforting presence of the Holy Spirit in my life. I receive His comfort now as I pray. O God, I am not alone, for you are with me, your rod and staff they comfort me. I know you have heard my prayer and have seen my tears; and have healed me.

Nothing shall ever separate me from the love of God in Christ Jesus. Through Him, I am more than a conqueror. I receive John 16:20, even though I have wept and mourned, my grief will turn to joy.

As the bible says “weeping may remain for a night, but rejoicing comes in the morning”. My morning has come and my rejoicing has started. Lord, you said, “blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted”- Matthew 5:4. I am comforted by your word.

Thank you for giving me the breakthrough I need, and for enabling me to celebrate once again. I praise you God, for you always give me the victory through my Lord Jesus Christ. Amen!

Have You Asked God Yet To Bless You With A Baby?

July 13th, 2009

Many women facing infertility and miscarriage have asked everyone to help them have a baby except God. They have asked their husbands, their doctors, friends, “Please Help me to have a baby”, But I want to ask you a question, have you asked God to give you a child? I want to use this bible story of female infertility to encourage you.

This is about a lady named Rachel. The bible says “When Rachel saw that she was not bearing Jacob any children, she became jealous of her sister, because her sister had children. So she said to Jacob, “Give me children, or I’ll die! Jacob became angry with her and said, “Am I in the place of God, who has kept you from having children?” Genesis 30:1-2.

When she got tired of infertility she cried out for help. But she only reached out for the wrong person. Her husband became angry with her and said, “Am I in the place of God, who has kept you from having children? I have since discovered from my own life experience that a man is only a tool in
the hand of God.

Many times our hearts can be set in the wrong direction, and this affects our outcome in life. Today, I want to encourage you to come to God and ask him for a baby. You may be facing miscarriage, female infertility, hormonal imbalances, polycystic ovarian problems, or even secondary infertility. You can pray in faith and ask God to heal you.

This is what the bible offers you, Jesus says:

“Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and you shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you”. Luke 11:9.
“And whatsoever you shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father
may be glorified in the Son”. John 14:13.
“If you shall ask anything in my name, that will I do.” John 14:14

These are just a few of God’s promise that if you ask him, he will do it for you. He has promised you and God does not lie. I have since learnt that there are times our inability to ask God limits what God can do for us. You may say what of all those teenagers that get pregnant everyday? Do they really ask God?

Well, we cannot judge our circumstance by another person’s standard. But we can deal with God on an individual level, which is what pleases him, the most.

Now back to the story of Rachel in the bible. After her husband pointed her to God as her source, she turned her face towards God, knowing only he could give her a baby. She changed her focus and continued to pray to God. The bible tells us this, “Then God remembered Rachel, and he listened to her and opened her womb”.

She became pregnant and gave birth to a son and said, “God has taken away my disgrace”. She named him Joseph, and said, May the Lord add to me another son.
