General Questions On Pregnancy Answered From The Bible (Part 1)
Question 1. Is there any particular place mentioned in the Bible where I should have my baby?
Where your baby is born is very important and it is a decision you must make early in your pregnancy. Most babies are born in hospital and other women opt for home birth or the GP units and domino scheme where your midwife delivers your baby in hospital.
Whatever choice you make remember the important thing is to have a healthy mother and baby at the end of the day. The bible does not recommend any particular place of birth, but we can infer that most births took place at home with the midwives in attendance.
There was also the hospital system in Egypt as mentioned in- Exodus 1:16, “then the king of Egypt said to the Hebrew midwives, …when you act as midwives to the Hebrew women and see them on the birth stool” from this we can infer that it was a hospital delivery system. Pray that the Holy Spirit will guide you and lead you in His wisdom as to the best decision to make concerning choice of a place to give birth. God bless you.
Question 2. What are braxton hicks’ contractions?
Braxton hick contractions are false contraction that tends to happen towards the last weeks of pregnancy. These contractions tend to come and go but true labour contractions occur very regularly and grow stronger and more frequently so you should be able to tell when the real labour begins.
Prayer
Now sister, make a confession against having braxton hick’s contractions during your pregnancy.
In the mighty name of Jesus I reject braxton hicks contractions. Any thing false will not come into this pregnancy. The quickening power of the Holy Spirit is upon me. As my delivery date approaches the Holy Spirit stimulates my body and my womb preparing it for delivery.
I choose to walk in the light of the Word of God and the Word of God shields me from falsehood. Any thing false including false contractions will not be part of my pregnancy. I thank you Father in Jesus Name. Amen.
